On the back in period handwritten ink is, "A Soochow Woman". This is an old CDV produced in China, by a Chinese photographer in early 1860s, and was part of a larger collection of CDVS I acquired that were either taken by, or distributed by Hong Kong photographer N'Gha Chan. This one does not have that info, but other CDVs from this collection have Chan's imprint, which reads, "N'GHA
